Welcome! Thank you for your interest in therapy dogs. Is your dog social? At least a year old? A people lover? Well-mannered? Comfortable around other dogs? Then becoming a Therapy Dog team with Welcome Waggers may be just right for you!
Welcome Waggers is a local volunteer therapy dog group in Oregon, serving Corvallis and the surrounding areas. We are all registered members of the national organization, the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, ATD (previously known as Therapy Dogs Incorporated®).
Our member teams visit retirement homes, assisted living and memory care facilities, schools, hospitals, anywhere people could use some affection and comfort from a dog. Some of us also participate in the READ® program (Reading Education Assistance Dogs®), in which therapy dogs help children improve their reading and communication skills. We specialize in bringing smiles and joy to others!
